Alioscopy and Freeman Offer Trade Show Exhibitors a Turnkey Solution for ‘No-Glasses’ 3D Digital Signage that Captures Attention and Stimulates Sales

Las Vegas, NV—EXHIBITOR 2010—March 15, 2010—Alioscopy® USA, a 3D visualization technology provider, today announced a marketing and distribution relationship with Freeman, the world’s leading provider of integrated services for face-to-face marketing events. Alioscopy is attending the EXHIBITOR2010 trade show this week in Las Vegas, at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center with Freeman (Freeman Booth # 547, March 14-18), and will present its breakthrough auto-stereoscopic 3D technology that offers trade show managers and exhibitors in any business a truly differential digital signage solution.

Freeman will offer its trade show customers Alioscopy hardware, software, and content creation options through a vast community of content producers and a new 3D Marketplace in partnership with TurboSquid.com, the leading global marketplace for 3D models, textures, and plug-ins. Alioscopy-ready templates for Freeman exhibits customers represent a fast and compelling way to work with customized digital signage content that will play on the Alioscopy HD LCD displays (24”, 42” and 47”)—resulting in amazing ‘pop-out’ no-glasses stereoscopic results.

“Freeman clients and partners are always on the lookout for innovative new ways to offer digital signage that will attract customers to the tradeshow arena,” said Jim Russell, senior vice president of Innovation, Freeman Audio/ Visual division. “The Alioscopy 3D display technology is a perfect way for Freeman to extend its digital signage options to customers from almost any industry—and the impact of no-glasses 3D is so amazing, you just have to experience it to believe it,” said Russell.

“There is a fast-growing market for auto-stereoscopic ‘no-glasses’ digital signage,” said Philippe Roche, CEO and President of Alioscopy USA. “Traditional stereoscopic 3D (with glasses) is definitely a big market in film and entertainment, but in a trade show/ exhibits environment, 3D glasses are not always practical. Alioscopy and Freeman will offer the best 3D experience without glasses—a perfect solution for tradeshows. We invite all attendees at Exhibitor 2010 to come by the Freeman booth to experience 3D without glasses—you’ll almost feel it when you see it,” added Roche.

A Glance at 2010's 3-D TVs (No Dumb Glasses Required)

    by Lee Bains — Jan 14th 2010 at 12:40PM

If you paid any attention to the news coming out of this year's CES, you heard about, and possibly already condemned, the multitude of 3-D televisions to be released in the coming year. Instead of playing blackjack or pigging out at the buffet, we spent our days in Vegas running from one end of the Convention Center to the other, only stopping to don funny glasses and dodge flying cartoons.

Reviewing those TVs was no simple task....

...On the other side was the Alioscopy overlay screen and animation software, powered by the Intel Core i7. Together, they delivered powerful 3-D without those goofy goggles. The screen isn't geared toward consumers. In order to produce a 3D effect the source material must be specially rendered computer animation, but it does deliver what may be the most immersive 3-D we've seen. Since the unit's demo reel was made to be functional, not artistic, it's hard to tell just how amazing it could be in the right creative hands.

    Somewhat Frank Tidbits

The TV on the top right is an Alioscopy 3D TV. Showing off auto-stereoscopic (no-glasses) 3D content playing on a proprietary HD TV at the Intel booth. It was by far the most interesting 3D TV I saw at CES 2010 because it was the only TV that was in 3D with the use of glasses. AMAZING!
