Inition and Digital2go for the LG Optimus 3D Smartphone Advertising Campaign

ABOUT THE PROJECT
Alioscopy worked with UK-based agencies Inition and digital2go to create an advertising campaign that draws attention to the 3D multimedia capabilities of the revolutionary LG Optimus 3D smartphone.
The ad content was captured and converted to the Alioscopy eight-view auto-stereoscopic ‘glasses-free’ 3D format to play in over 200 Europe-wide LG-branded Point-of-Sale kiosk locations.

RESULTS
Alioscopy glasses-free 3D technology was chosen for its solid track record and reliable, production-proven performance for the 200 Point-of-Sale kiosk locations. Since the ad content is a ‘glasses-free’ 3D format, playing on point-of-sale kiosks, LG found Alioscopy technology to be the best ‘real-world’ way to demonstrate the user experience on the LG 3D Optimus smartphone.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The 4D Art Project is a one-of-a-kind artistic collaboration utilizing the works of renowned artist Miles Regis and electronic artist and visionary, Brian Quandt, and supported by corporate entities, Intel and Adobe. Utilizing leading-edge technologies including 2D-3D conversion, auto-stereoscopic viewing and more, the 4D Art Project offers viewers a never-before seen art experience.

WHAT IS 4D?
The fourth dimension is time. As a viewer sees the layers within the paintings at varying depths in 3D, he/she is also witnessing the chronological progression of the artwork as it was being made – the beginning of the painting furthest from the viewer, and each additional layer on planes closer to the viewer. Should he choose, the artist can also move these planes backward or forward to enhance his creative presentation and/or alter the viewer’s visual perception of time.
